Liberty named to All-State Football Team

Senior Mitch Liberty has been named to the 2007 Lincoln Journal-Star Class C-1 All-State Football Team. The 6'5" Tiger was named as a first-team defensive back.

Commenting on the selection, Head Coach Don Hogue said, "Mitch has
been a three year starter at safety. He led the team in interceptions with seven this year." He added, "Mitch had a way of reading and reacting very well to the ball. He became a lot stronger in supporting against the run, too."

The last first team All-State football player from Falls City High School was Jim Bauman in 1991.

Chosen by the Lincoln Journal-Star for honorable mention in 2007 were Derrick Boltz, Travis Buckminster, Kyle Coonce, Kaleb Gilkerson, and Lee Weaver. The newspaper inadvertently left Lee Weaver's name out of the list in the paper and are going to publish a correction.
