Head Coach Don Hogue said, "It is a great feeling to be part of the football playoffs. Being at home with our great fan support will be a huge advantage for us. This is a big game with a good team. We want to be the first team in school history to win a playoff game."
The Tigers received the home field advantage because they finished as the top team in Class C-1, District 1. As the #6 seed in the top half of the playoff bracket, the FCHS team will play the #11 seed Shamrocks, who have a 5-3 record. According to Coach Hogue, the team will not make any major changes for the playoff game. He said, "We always adjust a few things both offensively and defensively. "
The only blemish to the Tigers record was a 20-26 double overtime loss to Lincoln Christian. As a result of the 7-1 record, the team ended wth a 41.625 point total in Class C-1.
Commenting on highlights of the season, Coach Hogue said, "The highlights of the season were winning against Syracuse and Auburn, the two teams who beat us a year ago."
If they win over Scotus, the Tigers will play again on Wednesday, October 31.
