FCPS receives Certificate of Recognition

On November 16, Falls City Public Schools received a Certificate of Recognition for the Governor's Education Initiative Award for Parental Involvement. The Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB) joined with the Governor this year to create this new program to recognize the work of school districts that encourage parents to get engaged. Recognition of the schools was given by Governor Dave Heinemen during a breakfast at the 2007 NASB/Nebraska Association of School Administrators State Education Conference. District 56 was one of nine schools chosen to receive the framed certificate. The recognition was given based on parental involvement practices and programs initiated by the school system.
