Staff members added, others changed
The 2007 - 08 school year opens with many staff changes. Some staff members are new faces and others are new faces in different places. The following are the new and changed staff members:
Central Office
Valerie Coleman is the new secretary in the Superintendent's Office.
High School
Gale Dunkhas is the new principal at the high school. He is joined by Kris Simon as the new language arts and PE/Health teacher, Brian Miller as the new vocational agriculture teacher and FFA sponsor, and Carolyn McClure as a new special education teacher. Jason Bredemeier is moving from the middle school to be a language arts teacher at the high school. Pam Joy will be a new paraprofessional in the special education department.
Middle School
Marie Parsons, who formerly taught at the middle school, is coming out of retirement to teach language arts at the middle school during first semester. Pat Lemkuhl is a special education paraprofessional who is moving from the high school to the middle school.
South School
Kris Ogle is once again joining the South School staff as a fourth grade teacher after spending the last two years at North School. Instead of teaching fourth grade, Marilyn Scholz is going to be the Title I teacher at South School.
North School
Joining the FCPS staff for the first time are Lacey Reed, who will teach kindergarten, and Angie Hunzeker, who will teach in the Parent-Child Center preschool and work as the kindergarten reading intervention teacher. Moving to North School from the middle school is Diana Kottich, who will be a kindergarten teacher. Stacey Vitosh, who formerly worked as a paraprofessional at North School, will be the new Parent-Child Center preschool director and teacher. Jenny Miller is a new special education paraprofessional, who has moved from the middle school. Changing assignments at North School are Kim Oliver, who is going to teach first grade instead of second grade, and Brenda Streit, who is going to teach first grade after being a Parent-Child Center teacher and kindergarten reading intervention teacher.
Coaching
Numerous coaching changes have been made. Don Hogue will be the head varsity football coach, Cody Hawley will be head boys' track coach, and Noala Fritz will be assistant varsity track coach. Jason Bredemeier will be an assistant varsity boys' basketball coach and Kris Simon will be an assistant varsity volleyball coach. Kory Huppert will be a middle school assistant track coach and high school boys' basketball aide. Terri Hogue will be the middle school head volleyball coach and Natalie Neujahr will be the assistant middle school volleyball coach. Kim Vrtiska will be middle school assistant boys' basketball coach and Mark Junker will be middle school head girls' track coach.
Transportation
Joining District 56 staff as bus route drivers are Tyler Bek and Rusty Ziegler.
