FCPS will hold parent meetings
for online access to information

Falls City Public Schools are pleased to offer the parents/guardians of students at South Elementary School, Falls City Middle School, and Falls City High School the option of acessing student information via the internet. They will be able to view their child’s or children’s grades, attendance, lunch balances, and school bulletins through the schools’ PowerSchool student information system. This information for North School students will not be available via the internet.

In order to access the information, parents/guardians must attend a short training session. At this meeting, they will receive a log in and password specific to each child to ensure security of the information.

Two types of training sessions will be held, and parents/guardians can attend either type. Sessions held in the Falls City High School auditorium will be demonstrations of the system for parents to see. Sessions held at the Falls City Library and Art Center will be hands on, so parents who do not have a computer at home or who would like extra help can learn how to access the information in the computer lab.

The following is the schedule of training:

Monday, October 1 – 7:00 P.M. in the high school auditorium
Tuesday, October 2 – 7:00 P.M. in the high school auditorium
Wednesday, October 3 – 7:00 P.M. in the high school auditorium
Thursday, October 4 – 7:00 P.M. in the high school auditorium
Monday, October 8 – 7:00 P.M. in the Falls City Library and Art Center Computer Lab
Wednesday, October 10 – 7:00 P.M. in the Falls City Library and Art Center Computer Lab

After receiving a PowerSchool log in and password at the training, parents/guardians may view their child/children’s information at any time from any computer with internet access. By choosing to access this information via the internet, parents/guardians are acknowledging their responsibility for maintaining current anti-virus and security software on the machine they use to log in to the internet. There will be no individual tech support provided from school personnel.
