District holds Family Fun Night

On April 8, Falls City Public Schools held the annual Family Fun Night at North School. The event was planned for District 56 Title I students and their parents. Parent involvement is highly encouraged in the schools, and this event has proven to be an effective means to involve parents in the education process.

Reading a book together are Azra Ballman, a second grader, and her parents, Sam and Justina Cockerham.
Literacy and math activities were organized for children and their parents. As a culminating activity, everyone had the opportunity to try and guess how many beans were in a vase. Garrett Clark was the winner of this activity as he guessed 926 (915 was the correct answer). In addition. Parents In Education (P.I.E.) served refreshments for everyone at the conclusion of the evening.
